Also having the same issue as the person below this comment, sudden mic not working. Otherwise what a fantastic programme, but a fix for the mic issues would go a long way!

(1 edit) (+1)

everything was working fine and suddenly the mic stopped working, ik its not the mic bc it works on other apps. ive tried restarting multiple times. i still have the option for the mic in the app, it just doesnt wanna work. ive deleted and installed the whole thing a couple times already and that doesnt work at all

hmm now that's new. could you dm me at olmewe on twitter about this? (or luna@olmewe.com if you don't have a twitter)

ME TOO!

So when i try to open it, it opens in folders. When i open the zipp in folders, it opens something else. Then i go down a rabbit hole of random things needed to make the game, any idea how I can fix this and open the program

(-9)
why does it causts money. could it be free?
(+1)

its free

(+1)

all you have to do is click “continue to download” when the money thing pops up

I absolutely love this, worked perfectly the first time I used it. however, any time that I opened the program after that it kept crashing as soon as I opened it.

hmm that's weird. could you dm me about it? my twitter is olmewe :0

I don’t have twitter, do you have insta?

ah no i don't :[ if you can email me at luna@olmewe.com then

okay!

So I honestly really love using this program, though I'm having the issue of it just lagging a ton when clicking into a video game. I at first thought it was just lagging because of the game, but then I realized that when I click into any game, it just lags a ton. Is there any workaround this? I'm using the same method as the FAQ recommends i.e. the game capture if that helps.

apparently that's a thing with your graphics card fighting over which thing to give more attention to, either veadotube or your game. i saw some people suggesting fixes here but i haven't tested them yet (like this one https://itch.io/post/4208626)

Alright, I'll try that out. Thank you for your help!

I'm going to be honest, I have no idea where to start with that post as I don't know where "-force-d3d12" is...

So after a little digging, I went into a bit more detail for that post so it's a bit easier to understand. I can tell you that forcing DX12 did have frame improvements, though it did still struggle a bit. Might be because I'm trying to use it on a GTX 1660 with triple A games, but I digress.

ive looked at what they have said for the mic part, but it still hasn't worked for me.

when i opened it up it doesn't pic up on my mic, and ive tried using two different headphones and no headphones, ive even restarted the app and computer, it only shows three options for mics and ive tried all of them too. ive messed with the settings on the app and it only works when it is all the way down

(+1)

i'll have to say i can't do much about it if the restart fix doesn't work :[ mini uses unity's microphone system, and it depends on them to fix corner issues like yours. sorry for the inconvenience

Omg I'm so glad I found this. It's so easy to use ! Thanks a lot for this amazing work ♥️

Quick question, as I didn't saw any recommandations about that in the comments, or in the description : is there a recommended image dimension ? I'm gonna prepare my files on Procreate and didn't want to mess this out 😅

i'd recommend 2048x2048, but in the end it depends on your stream resolution :]

Thanks a lot ! ♥️

(1 edit) (-2)

Is it safe to open? Windows says that it can be dagerus for my computer.

how do I download it with linux? like what are the commands for it?

(+1)

I need help with that too

Hey would it be able to add a mute hotkey Funktion? I can't mute my mic alone and if I mute myself with my streaming software the avatar still moves. You don't have to add it, but it would be nice! Thanks for your efforts!

The hotkeys switch between states so you can use this to make an "avatar mute button."

Just create another state and use your closed mouth file in your open mouth slot and closed mouth blinking file in your open mouth blinking slot. Then set your mute hotkey in OBS to the same hotkey as the new, unmoving state, and set your unmute hotkey in OBS to the same hotkey as the moving state. And you're all set!

Hope this helps someone. I know this is old but just wanted to drop this here in case someone else finds themselves in this old thread looking for a solution.

Hi! I've been using the 1.2 version for a while and wanted to update to 1.3, but for some reason, 1.3 crashes after the unity logo appears. I'm on windows 64 and can still launch the older version no problem.

there are a few bugs with image loading on 1.3, and there's a chance that the avatar that's saved with 1.2 has an image that breaks with 1.3 and it crashes.

you can open 1.2, open one of the default .veadomini files on it, close it, and open 1.3. it shouldn't crash after that :0

but yeah your old avatar probably won't work on 1.3 because of those bugs. i'm really sorry for the inconvenience

No worries, thank you so much!

Did you fix the issue with the Mac version not opening yet?

(+1)

Howdy! I want to use this software but when ever I try to open it, it keeps saying " corrupted " or " damaged ". Is there anyways I can fix this problem? I use a Mac Pro!

Veadotube does not detect my microphone, is there a way to fix it?

depends on the platform! in general restarting the app once or twice should fix it in most cases. if it doesn't, there isn't much i can do for now. sorry for the inconvenience!

it doesnt seem to pick up my microphone, no matter how many times i restart it. i have an old ps3 mic, so i dont know if thats a problem

it is possible that the old ps3 mic is the issue, though i am unsure since i don't have one to mess with.

Hi, I just tried out veadotube mini for the first time and I absolutely love the software! Thank you so much for making this!

I was wondering if you would consider adding an option to include custom idle animation gifs that don't require button presses? Similar to the blink image, but with much lower frequency, like 1 per minute or so. I guess it could also be handled as a state that the animation temporarily switches into? Basically something to spice up the closed mouth idle from time to time with different gifs without having to push a button.

If that's too much for the mini version, I absolutely understand, but I figured asking wouldn't hurt! :)

It won't let me change the image on any of them? Im on a mac idk if that helps but i don't know how to fix it but i rlly wanna use this.

(+1)

hmm there were a few issues with the file selector on apple silicon machines. is your mac one of those?

i think so do you know how i can fix it?

this latest update (1.3) should've fixed it, if it didn't then it simply won't work for now :[ sorry for the inconvenience

Is there a feature to make the image change based on how loud youre in the mic?

(1 edit) (+1)

you mean this? https://itch.io/post/3822757 it's not gonna be added, no.

aw, yea, i just thought about it with like... mic volume sensitivity. If the mic volume hits a certain declared threshold, the image will advanced past the default sensitivity area and changed to another defined image/gif. Thats sad tho, could add some dramatization options. Thanks for the reply!

(2 edits) (+2)

Is there a way to change the blink frequency? If not, could that be a feature? My moderator told me that my pngtuber seems to blink much too often.

Como puedo descargarlo?:)

(+1)

:S I'm having an issue with hotkeys... When my OBS window is focused, then the Veadotube hotkeys don't work at all. But when a game window is focused, then the hotkeys DO work.

(+1)

that's an issue with obs yeah, apparently when focused it consumes all keyboard inputs before they reach other apps such as mini.

(+1)

Ooh, loving the new quality-of-life features!

I have an idea for another one (which should be very little effort to include). Mouth transition 3. The same as 2, but the jump isn't as high. I suggest this because I'm transitioning from another PNGtuber method where the jump is small, and I'm finding Veadotube's jump to have a little too much motion.

Whenever I try to run this and also capture gameplay with a game auto detect source I just end up with two veadotubes on there.  Is there any way around this without changing how I capture my gameplay, or should I just... change how I capture my gameplay?

mini was made in unity so it's understandable that streaming apps detect it as a game, yeah. isn't there a way to tell it to ignore certain games during auto detection? :0

Not that I've been able to find, no 😔

No puedo descargar la App por un error que dice: Error: Prohibido

¿Qué puedo hacer? (Estoy en Windows 8)

I Just downloaded and Finished My Project, however I Don't see a Game capture, I only see Syphon client while in OBS on mac, Is there anyway to Get around this, i'm stuck

on mac you gotta use window capture, sorry i didn't update the description for mac yet.

cuando la actualizen pueden crear una version de 32 bits porfaaaaa la necesitooo :(

If anyone else has the same issue like me when I run a game that hammers my GPU after forcing DX12 with this "-force-d3d12", that issue went away.

And I limit the app to 60fps too. After that it was smooth all the way as before it would start to slowdown heavy.

Deleted 2 years ago

Ok so to explain this post in detail I'm gonna split it in two parts, one explaining the DX12 and the other with the frames.

Before you use DX12, make sure that you have it on your PC before using this command (mainly Windows, sorry Mac users!). For DX12, you will need to make a shortcut of the "veadotube mini.exe". Reason for this is so we can use that command "-force-d3d12" in the Target when you open Properties of the shortcut. Paste the command after the quotations, and you're good to go!

For the 60 fps way, the way I did it was through the NVIDIA Control Panel. There may be other ways, but this is the way I found for NVIDIA users. Open the control panel, go to "Manage 3D settings", then click the Program Settings tab. From there, you will click Add, and then search for the veadotube application. Then, scroll down till you see "Max Frame Rate". Click it, check on, and then set it to 60 frames.

Hope this made it a bit more easier to understand!

(+1)

thanks for explaining! i also didn't know how that worked, but it makes sense, yeah.

I really really need this program :( since my computer is 32 Bit and has Window 7 Please update it! T-T (Since this program looks very good alternative for those of us who have low-resource computers.)

I can´t select the microphone i want to use, or the program don´t reconice my voice

the app has a few microphone bugs yeah. restarting it sometimes fixes that :]

Hi there,
Thanks for this, it's a brilliant app! Will you be adding any push to talk functionality? Currently I have two push to talk keys (one to discord and one to just stream), and it would be great if the avatar only reacts when I intend it to! Unless I've missed something, it reacts to any input the microphone gets.

Thank you!

(+1)

hmm it's not something i plan to add to mini, it's probably going to the full version.

Will there be a Version for Android? Because my pc is Windows 7 and it is not compatible..

i don't have plans for mobile at the moment, but mini should work fine on windows 7! unless you're running 32-bit, to which there'll be an update soon that fixes it.

Yes, I run 32 bit... ¡I can't wait for the update to use the app!

Thanks for clarifying!

(-1)

I can use this in a tablet or a mobile? Or in a future you gonna do a mobile versión? Plis I wanna do streams but I dont have microphone in my pc

i don't have plans for mobile at the moment!

Well, thanks for your answer

Loving it. Using it. Awesome Tool and easy to use. Keep up the pawsome work! <3

(1 edit)

I just started using this recently and I love it! Thank you for releasing this! I have came up with some suggestions for either the mini version or the full version.

  • Breath movement mode: Just vertical up and down movement, like you're breathing.
  • Blink modes: Fast, normal, always closed
  • The ability to move around your avatar (click and drag). I'd just prefer to move around in app rather then on OBS.
  • The ability to zoom in and out (scroll in/out). I use a very large PNG so I had to crop it in order to make it not look all pixel-y, but then I can't show off the whole image.
  • Anti aliasing modes. I feel more zoomed out images could be smoother (I don't know what I'm talking about)

I apologize if these have been suggested already, I've skimmed through the comments a little to prevent this.

Thanks for reading and thank you again for making this, I'm excited to use this and see the future of this product!!!

these should all be in the full version yes :] the pixel-y image bug will be fixed in the mini version itself.

I can't express how much I love this program and I can't wait to use it on every stream,, Keep the good work!

What a brilliant program!!!! Super duper simple to use and yet so charming and able to create so many fun expressions. Thank you so much!!!!!

HELLO! Thanks so much King/Queen for making this!!! I have an idea that i hope is do-able. I was wondering if its at all possible to make another window (like the normal expression windows, eyes open, mouth closed, etc.) But just for additional emotion "marks". Like an image of sweat overlayed of top of the already present character, or a red angry anime like pulse that shows up when a character is in a angry state. I would just do this in GIF format but my character has white hair and I can't really get a clean transparent gif out of it. So I think a overlay window for extra marks of emotion would be very useful for others in my situation.

-Thank you!💖

hmmm that's been requested a while ago, but i think it'd complicate mini further than i'd like.

Alrighty, thanks for considering my suggestion, it means alot! I still adore this program and will continue to use it none the less, thanks again! <3

(1 edit) (+1)

ive been using this amazing tool a lot lately and i think ive come up with something simple, yet useful to add to it. my idea is to have it so that if the audio input is loud enough it shows a loud/yelling/screaming character image. (so probably just add another slider on the microphone sensitivity and if the audio goes above it, it shows the loud/yelling/screaming image) i came up with this idea after streaming some horror games TwT

(+1)

ah that's been requested already, but i think it'd complicate mini further than i'd like.

(1 edit)

ok i understand, but thank you for responding anyway!
